The town of SPECTOR, COLORADO was founded in 1851, by Errol Spector I. The town flourished, home to dozens and welcoming travelers alike, in search of fortune. After the decline of the mining boom, the town was all but abandoned in 1903. Home only to several dozen ghostly and supernatural residents, along with the Spector family. Errol Spector IV decided the town would become a haven for the otherworldly, and his family would be the ones to oversee them. For the next hundred years, each bearing the namesake of their family, a descendant would take over as caretaker.Having built a radio station within the town, electromagnetic waves are used divert travelers on a nearby highway safely away from Spector; keeping it hidden, as always intended. Spector is one of four ghostly towns within the area. A series of hidden mine tracks connecting the cities, so that spiritual guests may come and go as they wish, as well as their mortal caretakers.
SPECTOR and its inhabitants are original characters and lore of my own creation, eventually to be written as a novel. All characters also have some established non-Spector based verses, for easy plotting. I'm also, of course, open to plotting every muse in pretty much any fandom or setting! ==..β ! . == .. Having been born in the Bronx exactly thirteen months before her brother, Olivia Octavius lived a wonderful childhood in Queens, New York. The siblings, often wrongly mistaken for twins, had been inseparable their entire lives. Liv and Otto's love of science was heavily encouraged by their parents. Supporting their endeavors, that ultimately led to impressive MIT scholarships.
==..β ! . == .. MIT was kind to the Octavius siblings. From bonfires with friends, to sneaking into labs to build realistic lightsabers, and even Otto sparking a love with Liv's original roommate, Rosie, they lived it up well in Boston.
==..β ! . == .. However, Liv's studies were postponed a year, following a failed experiment that resulted in falling from a window, her shattering her leg on impact. She lived back in Queens with her family, healing and continuing what studies she could while bedridden. Ultimately returning the following year to graduate in the same class as Otto.
==..β ! . == .. The two went on to have successful science careers. Otto partnering with Oscorp, and Liv's creation of Alchemax. Ultimately leading Liv to help with Otto's creation of the fusion reactor. Liv was not present at the activation - thus, she was not able to catch a single digit error, that would result in the accident that led to Rosie's death, and ultimately Otto's.
==..β ! . == .. Olivia lived in unconsolable grief for months, unable to function or leave her home. Once on her feet again and slowly working again she was approached by Wilson Fisk. In need of a scientist and sharing a mutual disdain for Spider-Man, who Liv wrongfully blamed for the death of her brother, she was persuaded by Kingpin to begin working for him.
==..β ! . == .. Ultimately, Olivia began years long love affair with Vanessa Fisk. Shortly after Wilson's discovery of the relationship, Vanessa and their son Richard were thought to be dead in a car accident. Though consumed in grief of his own, Kingpin using this to his advantage to further blackmail Olivia into building his collider; blaming her for Vanessa's death, as the pair were en route to Olivia, ready to leave him once and for all. Liv, with those she loved most dead and feeling as if she only had herself to blame, continued her research under his close watch.
==..β ! . == .. It's during this time that Liv would decide to reclaim the mantle that the media had forced upon her brother: Doc Ock. Expanding upon the design once inflicted upon her brother, Liv would use the arms as an extension of herself. Primarily using them to increase mobility.
==..β ! . == .. Years would pass, and with the success of the collider imminent, there was only one thing standing in their way: a couple of overgrown spiders.
==..β ! . == .. Then, no one was left standing. Most of the Spider-Gang having gone back to their own universes β and then there was Liv. Hurdling across the multi-verse at the rate of a flying semi-truck, she finds herself in New York. But not her New York. Signs reading about Peter Parker and Spider-Man, but bearing a much different face.
==..β ! . == .. The collider had seemingly worked, a portal opened somehow, but at a price. Her leg had been injured beyond repair as a result of the truck. Olivia having to make the decision she had been avoiding all of her life: she'd have to replace it.
==..β ! . == .. Having found a lab, Olivia manages to amputate her leg and construct a new high tech prosthetic. Once healed, she puts forth her plan to discover as much as possible about the reaches of the Multi-Verse.
==..β ! . == .. That's until a newscast shows a familiar, long dead face fighting against Spider-Man on a bridge. Unlike the masses thought, the collider had worked. The original target of the collider, Vanessa Fisk, was not actually dead. Instead, having been put into witness protection after the accident. The collider, not able to bring back someone who was not dead, instead targeted the next choice within the mind of the creator: Otto.
